Venom
Making his debut as Spider-Man's famous black, living costume in the comic series ‘ Secret Wars’, the character, 'Venom' made his first full character appearance ' in 1988. In 1993 he got his first solo release in Venom: Lethal Protector. The character would go on to be a reoccurring and iconic character in the Marvel Universe. Coming from a parasitic alien species known as symbiotes, Venom must join himself to a living host in order to survive. After being rejected by Spider-Man, the symbiote discovers an out on his luck reporter called Eddie Brock. Sensing his hatred for Spider-man, the symbiote fuses with Eddie, creating the first and most famous Venom. Fueled by his hatred of Spidey, Venom seeks revenge, often attacking Spider-Man when he can. Despite this, he isn’t an out and out villain and will occasionally protect innocent people from harm, especially from his truly evil offspring, Carnage. Thanks to his time with Spider-man, Venom shares a number of the webheads powers. These include a version of web-slinging and a spidey-sense which makes him invisible to Spider-mans own. As a result, he is one of Spider-Man's most dangerous foes. Venom is one of, if not the most popular of all of the Anti-Heros / villains in the Marvel Universe.
